The Problem With Perfection: Wellness has too often been sold as a glossy, picture-perfect lifestyle. Thin bodies, expensive outfits, green juices at 4am. But real life? It’s messy, diverse, and beautifully imperfect. That’s why in:HAUS wellness was built: to create a space where everyone belongs.
What Inclusive Wellness Means to Us
Judgment-free zone - wear trackies, tights, or pyjama bottoms. All welcome. WE DO NOT CARE, we just love to see you.
Options, not pressure - trauma-informed teaching means you’ll always be offered variations.
LGBTQIA+ safe space - as a queer-owned studio, representation and safety are core to our ethos.
Chronic illness awareness - some days, just lying on the mat is enough. That’s valid here.
Why It Matters
When people feel safe, they move differently. They stop performing, start exploring, and discover a deeper connection with their bodies. Inclusivity isn’t just ethical, it’s effective.
The Research
Studies show that people are more consistent with exercise when they feel socially supported and free from judgment. That means inclusive wellness isn’t just “nice to have”, it’s the key to sustainable health long-term health.
Building a Community Hub
in:HAUS isn’t just about classes. We also host:
Women’s and community circles.
Sound healing sessions.
Brave Hearts Club - a space for conversation and connection.
And; anything else that we feel will benefit the community and increase wellness, anything from tarot reading markets to clothing buy swap and sells. We listen to what YOU want and we do our best to deliver.
In saying that,
Wellness should never be exclusive. At in:HAUS, inclusivity is more than a tagline, it’s our foundation. Whoever you are, however you move, we hope you can find a place here.

FAQs
Do I have to be fit to join classes at in:HAUS? Not at all. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are. From beginners to experienced movers, you’ll always find options that work for your body. We offer foundation classes and private sessions to allow you to get comfortable if you are just starting out of getting back into it.
What does “trauma-informed teaching” mean? It means our instructors are mindful of language, offer variations, and never force adjustments. You’re in control of your body and how you choose to move. If you don't want to close your eyes down when the instructor says because you do not feel safe, it is okay for you to not do so, we welcome all adjustments to what feels good in your body and mind.
Is in:HAUS wellness only for women? Nope. While we do host women’s and community circles, our Pilates, yoga, barre, dance, and recovery offerings are for every body. As LGBTQIA+ founded studio everyone belongs here.
Do I need anything special to attend? No activewear required. Bring yourself, a water bottle, and wear something you’re comfortable moving in. We supply mats and props (though BYO is always welcome).
