General Information
Where are you located? Shop 2/18 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay Arts & Industrial Estate, with free on-street parking nearby. We’re next to Bodhi Living, Masa Cafe, and Sewing with Solana.
Do you have an intro offer? Yes, we have multiple. Check our website or the MINDBODY App for current specials.
Do you offer casual passes and memberships? Yes, single sessions, multi-class packs, and unlimited memberships are available.
Do your memberships have lock-in contracts? No, you can start or end your membership with 7 days’ written notice to inhauswellness@gmail.com before your next payment date. We also offer casual class pack options
Do class packs or vouchers expire? No, they have no expiry.
Do you offer gift vouchers? Yes, available online for all services or by emailing inhauswellness@gmail.com.
What payment methods do you accept? Online card payments through the MINDBODY App and tap-and-go in-studio.
What is the class size? Group classes are capped at 8–10 people,
Can I combine services like sauna and Pilates? Yes, many members pair classes with sauna or compression boots for enhanced recovery.
Do you offer refunds? No refunds are available on class packs or vouchers. Refunds on merchandise are provided as per Australian consumer law.
Bookings + Attendance
Do I need to book in advance? Yes, all classes, private sessions, and sauna bookings must be made online in advance as spaces are limited. Bookings can be made on the MINDBODY or Class Pass App.
What time should I arrive before class? Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in, settle in, and meet your instructor.
Are your classes beginner-friendly? Absolutely, look for “Foundations,” “Beginner Friendly,” or “All Levels” in our timetable.
What is your cancellation policy? 12 hours for group classes, 24 hours for privates/semi-privates. Late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
What’s the maximum class size? Group mat classes are capped at 8-10 people, small equipment classes at 4 people. Workshops and events may have more participants, with smaller private and semi-private options available.
Do you offer online classes? In-studio only, but private virtual sessions can be arranged on request.
What should I bring? Pilates socks for Pilates and barre, comfortable clothing, water bottle, towel, and swimwear or light clothing for the sauna. Mats and props are provided.
Classes + Programs
What’s the difference between mat and equipment Pilates? Mat Pilates uses bodyweight and small props. Equipment Pilates uses the Reformer, Trapeze Table/Cadillac, and Wunda Chair for added resistance or support.
What is Pilates Circuit? “Stormy’s Signature Class” - an energetic, timed-station circuit blending mat, Reformer, Trapeze and Wunda Chair. Up to 6-8 people.
What is Mat Pilates? Classic Pilates sequences using bodyweight and small props to build strength, posture and core stability and is done a exercise mat on the ground.
What is Mat Foundations? A slower, beginner-friendly class focusing on technique and alignment. Props are optional, making it ideal for absolute beginners or those wanting a simple approach, no props, no fuss.
Do I need dance experience for barre? No, barre is ballet-inspired but made for everyone, with low impact and a high burn.
Can I attend if I’m injured, pregnant, postnatal, or have a medical condition? Yes if you have been medically cleared, please let your instructor know so modifications can be made in line with your professional health care practitioners advicee.
What should I wear? Activewear is not essential - track pants, sweats or a big shirt are perfect. Comfort comes first.
Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment? We supply everything, but BYO mat and props are always welcome.What is Sound Healing? A guided session using crystal bowls and sound frequencies to calm the nervous system, reduce stress and support emotional release.What are

Tarot Readings
What happens in a tarot reading? Your reader uses tarot cards to explore questions, situations, or themes in your life, offering insight and reflection, it’s not fortune-telling.
Do I need to believe in tarot for it to work? No, many clients use it for personal insight, creativity, or decision-making regardless of spiritual beliefs.
Are tarot readings private? Yes, all readings are confidential, and you’re welcome to record your session.
Can I book a tarot reading with friends or as part of an event? Yes, available for groups, hens parties, birthdays, celebration packages, and divorce parties. Email inhauswellness@gmail.com for details.
Infrared Sauna
Is the sauna private? Yes, a 2 - person sauna booked exclusively for you or your guest.
Is there a shower? No, we do not have on-site shower facilities
Is infrared sauna heat safe? Yes, it uses gentle, dry heat up to 65°C and is safe for most people (check with your doctor if pregnant or with medical conditions).
Can I combine a sauna with a workout? Yes, many clients book after a class for muscle recovery.
What are the sauna opening hours? Please check booking times on the MINDBODY or Class Pass App.
What is chromotherapy in a sauna? Chromotherapy, or colour therapy, uses LED lights in different colours (blue for calm, red for energy, green for balance, yellow for upliftment) to enhance relaxation and create a spa-like atmosphere.
What are the benefits of an infrared sauna? Supports detoxification, muscle recovery, pain relief, improved circulation, skin health, stress reduction, better sleep, and immune support. Even 20 minutes can be beneficial.
Can I use the sauna if I am pregnant? We do not recommend sauna use during pregnancy unless you have explicit medical approval. Please check with your doctor first.
Is the sauna safe if I have a medical condition? Always consult your healthcare provider before using the sauna if you have heart conditions, circulatory issues, high or low blood pressure, or any chronic illness.
How long is a session? Our standard sessions are 45 minutes. Beginners may prefer to start with shorter sessions and gradually build up.
What should I wear in the sauna? Light, comfortable clothing, a towel, swimsuit, or activewear is recommended. Avoid heavy clothing.
What should I bring? Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel to sit on. Extra towels are available at the studio for $5 fee. BYO Robe or hire one for $5.
Can I combine sauna with other services? Yes. Many members book a sauna before or after Pilates, yoga, or compression boots for added recovery and relaxation.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t use the sauna? Saunas may not be suitable for people with uncontrolled blood pressure, serious cardiovascular issues, recent surgery, or certain medications. Always consult a doctor first if unsure.
Compression Boot Therapy
What are compression boots? Compression boots are air-powered sleeves worn on the legs that gently inflate and deflate to massage muscles, improve circulation and support recovery.
How long is a session? Each session lasts 30 minutes, giving your body enough time to reset and recover.
Who are compression boots for? They’re perfect for athletes, active locals, people on their feet all day, or anyone wanting to reduce swelling, muscle soreness or fatigue.
What are the benefits? Benefits include improved circulation, reduced muscle soreness, faster recovery after workouts, relief from swelling or fluid retention, and deep relaxation.
Do they hurt? No. The pressure is adjustable and should feel like a firm but comfortable massage.
Can I use compression boots if I’m injured or pregnant? Always check with your doctor first. Compression therapy may not be suitable for some conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, vascular issues or pregnancy.
How often should I use compression boots? For general recovery, 1-2 times per week is effective. Athletes may benefit from more frequent sessions, especially after intense training.
What do I wear during a session? We recommend light, comfortable clothing such as leggings or shorts. Shoes are removed before the boots are applied.
Can I combine compression boots with other services? Yes. Many clients book them before or after Pilates, yoga, barre or sauna sessions for enhanced recovery and relaxation.
Studio Hire
Who can hire the studio? Wellness practitioners that perform e.g. reiki, tarot readings, massages, counselling, also great for creatives, content creators and facilitators.
What’s included? Mats, props, Pilates equipment, sound system, lighting, tea station, waiting area, RGB LED lights, ring light, tripod, Wi-Fi, toilet facilities, fridge, massage table, bolsters, and more.
Do I need insurance? Yes, public liability and professional indemnity insurance of 20M.
Can I bring my own equipment? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own equipment as long as it does not cause damage to our property.
Do you allow photo or video shoots? Yes, available for creative shoots with prior approval.
Can I book recurring sessions? Yes, discounted rates are available for regular hire.
Corporate + Workplace Wellness
What services are offered for workplaces? On-site or studio-based Pilates, barre, yoga, mobility, stretch breaks, sound healing, mindfulness, and breathwork.
Do you provide equipment for off-site visits? Yes, all required equipment is supplied for on-site sessions.
Careers + Mentorships
What roles are you hiring for? We welcome Pilates, barre, yoga and dance instructors, sound healers and tarot readers.
Do I need to be certified? Yes, relevant qualifications and insurance are required, though we also mentor newer teachers.
Do you offer Pilates mentoring? Yes. Our mentoring covers Reformer, Trapeze Table, Cadillac and Wunda Chair, plus safe cueing, programming, anatomy support and client care.
Are roles casual or permanent? Most start as contract positions with potential for permanent timetable spots.
What are the perks of working with you? Free classes, free sauna and compression boot use, mentoring opportunities and an inclusive team culture.

Health + Safety
Pilates, Barre & Yoga
Our classes are safe for most fitness levels. Please inform your instructor of any injuries, health conditions, or pregnancy before class. Participation is at your own risk, and modifications are always offered.
Sound Healing
Sound healing is generally safe and deeply relaxing. If you have epilepsy, sound sensitivity, tinnitus, or medical implants, please consult your doctor before attending.
Coomunity Circles
Our circles are designed to be inclusive and supportive. These are sharing spaces, not therapeutic substitutes. Please reach out to us if you have specific accessibility needs.
Tarot Readings
Tarot sessions are for reflection and guidance only, not a substitute for medical, financial or legal advice.
Infrared Sauna
Do not use the sauna if you are pregnant, have uncontrolled blood pressure, heart conditions, or other medical concerns without clearance from your doctor. Stay hydrated and listen to your body.
Compression Boots
Not suitable for those with vascular conditions, DVT, or during pregnancy unless medically approved. Please wear light clothing and inform your practitioner of any health concerns.

Do you offer concessions or discounts?
Yes. We use a sliding scale for some classes and memberships. You choose what works for you:

Supporter Rate - for those who can give a little extra to help others.
We proudly offer reduced rates for First Nations people, LGBTQIA+ youth/elders, and people living with chronic illness or disability.
What if I can’t afford classes right now?
Reach out - we sometimes offer work-trade opportunities (helping with setup, events, or admin in exchange for classes or sauna sessions). We are open to helping where we can.

Waiver Requirement
All participants are required to complete and sign a waiver form before attending any class, service, or event. This includes but is not limited to Pilates, barre, yoga, dance, sound healing, women’s circles, workshops, sauna use, and private sessions.
Personal Responsibility
Participation in physical movement, wellness, or recovery services is at your own risk. Please consult with a qualified health professional if you have any concerns, pre-existing conditions, injuries, pregnancy, or medical conditions before joining a session.
Health & Safety
Our instructors and facilitators will provide guidance, but it is your responsibility to listen to your body, take modifications when needed, and stop immediately if you feel unwell or unsafe.
